New Plan
Too busy, so we're making the reunion a day trip on Sunday. Feel a lot less stressed already. I feel bad for my Granny, though, I think she was disappointed. I don't feel very well tonight. I'm really tired and sore and grumpy.
Busy, busy, busy
So we were at the zoo all day yesterday and we're leaving tomorrow for Va until Monday. I haven't done a thing to get ready to go and we have a wedding tomorrow morning. I think our plans are going to have to change. I wanted everything ready to go tomorrow morning, but I have a feeling we're going to need to leave the wedding early and come back here to pack and then leave. I'm just running out of time today (not to mention I haven't felt particularly motivated).
I'm waiting for Bob to come home now so I can take Molly to get glasses. I'm hoping they can actually have them ready for her today, but I don't know if that will happen or not. I'm getting new ones and hopefully next week I'll get contacts! :) YAY! If I can tolerate them - I tried hard ones years ago and couldn't get used to them. I'll be getting soft ones this time, but it's still something sticking in my eye!
ttfn. I feel like a bum and need to go do something.

Every Day is The Longest Day
8:15 - Molly and Maggie are still in their room - sleeping, reading, I'm not sure, but I'm really liking this new development. Can't wait till Liam and Lorelei are that old and I get to sleep in!! Liam and Lorelei are in the living room playing. Until two seconds ago. Now Lorelei is out here, trying to climb on the table, humming "Baa, Baa Black Sheep" to herself. She's still chewing on the raisins I gave her about a 1/2 hour ago. She's getting an entire mouth full of teeth in right now. But it seems as though the ones causing the most pain have broken through because the last couple of days she's been (relatively) less fussy. I have to get to bed early tonight. I'm just too tired.
10:00 - The dishes are done, the living room has been picked up once. Liam took a little nap and Molly and Maggie finally came down and had their breakfast. Now they're in the basement. They're supposed to be cleaning up. Maggie's asked for new chores twice and Molly once, but I guess I'll see in a little bit how much they've actually done. It'd be really nice if I could get the whole house picked up today. Tomorrow it will stay neat since we'll be gone all day, then all I have to worry about it Friday. That will be tough since there will be other kids over to play and game night that night. It will probably be a really, really long day.
10:44 - They actually did a really good job! :) So now the basement is straightened (and in serious need of a vacuuming!). The girls are watching Chip and Dale. Liam is watching me type. Now if I can only get the bedrooms cleaned up and the whole house vacuumed, I'll be happy!
12:00 - Lorelei and Liam are napping. Molly, Maggie and I are eating lunch. Maybe if I eat fast enough, I'll be able to get a nap!
12:10 - To nap or not to nap, that is the question, whether tis worth the frustration of numerous interruptions and inevitable waking up at the wrong time or better to suck it up and deal with the exhaustion and keep busy as so not to fall asleep on ones feet.
2:41 - I actually got to sleep for an hour and a half before getting woken up by Molly, who wanted something to eat, then Molly and Maggie, who were making too much noise in the bathroom, then Maggie who was telling on Molly and then finally (at 2:30) both of them (in which case they got spanked), galloping up the stairs so loudly (to tell on each other, both of which I had told them not to do) that they woke up Liam and his crying woke up Lorelei. Liam is happy, Lorelei is not. I still need to take a shower today, so as soon as Lorelei is done with her bottle, I will attempt to do so. After which I will make the even more foolhardy attempt to straighten up the bedrooms.
9:37 - Bob, Dawn and I will be playing a game in a second, so I'm wrapping up. I did get the bedrooms straightened as well as vacuumed. The rest of the house is neat as well, although not vacuumed. :) I'm satisfied! :)

I give up.
I just do not understand the behavior of my children. You'd think that they'd want to avoid getting in trouble. I don't mean that they'd never fight over a toy or something like that, just that all the annoying things they do, just to be annoying, wouldn't happen. Why do they do stuff like that? Are they bored? It's not like we don't have thousands of things to do around here. I just don't know what to do with them anymore.
Testing, testing, 1,2,3...
Yay! It's fixed! I was having a weird problem where I didn't have any punctuation. So I rebooted. I wish the computer didn't like being rebooted... maybe it would learn a lesson.
Sight of the day
Lorelei all proud of herself because she had one of my breast pads stuffed down her shirt!
Quote for the day:
Maggie (while she was helping me sort laundry) I can tell this underwear is yours because its so huge!
Procrastination
I should be doing laundry right now. The girls have been living out of their extra clothes bins for the past two days. I just have no motivation, as usual. And I really need to get on the ball because Thursday we're going to be in Baltimore all day and Friday I scheduled eye appointments for Molly and me because my glasses have been giving me really bad headaches lately and she needs glasses really badly. And then Saturday we have to have everything ready for the weekend and be ready for Cathy's wedding by 10 am!! So today and tomorrow are really my only good days to get the bulk of the work done. Not that I won't have time to do anything on Friday, but it's just not a good idea to wait until the last minute to get this stuff done. And yet, here I sit, writing in my blog.
I actually slept for a while after I came downstairs this morning. Liam is taking his morning nap still and Lorelei actually played nicely by herself for a while. Molly and Maggie were up in their room, probably reading, but as soon as they came down all hell broke loose. I don't know what is wrong with Molly lately but she is super emotional and very argumentative and she's just driving me crazy. She wanted to wear her Easter dress and I said no but she put it on anyway and then flipped out because she was so afraid she was going to get it dirty. I told her she couldn't change clothes because I wanted her to learn a lesson about obeying and consequences and she flipped out even more screaming her head off at the top of her lungs) because Lorelei was chasing her with a wet paper towel and Molly didn't want her dress to be ruined by having it touched with something wet. The girl is psycho sometimes. Anyway, she's in her room now because I just can't be around her when she's like that.
Well, Liam's awake, so I guess I'll go get him. Maybe at some point I'll feel like doing laundry (or just do it anyway).

Don't even know what to say
It hasn't been a good day - I'm just tired and in pain and the kids are really acting up and fussy and it just hasn't been a good day!
