Neat House

I still have to straighten Molly and Maggie's room and Lorelei's room (after Lorelei wakes up from her nap) but other than that, our house is pretty neat. I should empty the dishwasher so we can fill it as we need to and, of course, there's laundry that could be washed, but all in all our house is presentable.
I've been doing a lot of thinking about the toy situation, whether we move into the house we looked at or find another one. The kids have a ton of miscellaneous toys. And it's not that they don't play with them, because they do, it's just that they're the hardest things to keep picked up and organized. I think for the most part they will go into our "toy library" to be "loaned out" for an afternoon at a time. Eventually (at least with the other house) there would be room to have them all available again, but by then it should be blatantly obvious what the kids play with the most and I'll be able to get rid of toys with a clean conscious. I'm always afraid I'll get rid of something and the next day they'll say, "What happened to (fill in the blank)?" And I'll have to deal with all the stuff that comes after I tell them I got rid of it. By then Liam will be older and I'll be able to get rid of the baby toys as well.
I love getting rid of stuff. It's extremely cleansing and stress relieving. It's guilt that makes me hold on to as much stuff as we have.
Eventually today I really need to take a shower... yeah, haven't gotten one yet. There would probably be time for me to get a shower every morning without too much difficulty if I hopped in as soon as Bob got out, but most of the time I'm asleep, or mostly asleep then. And at that moment I don't really care. A few hours later I think, "Why didn't I take a shower when I had the chance?"
Well, I've been wanting some new books to read, so I guess I'll go see what's on the DCLS shelves for Dawn to bring me on Wednesday! :)
